Prenatal care

Prenatal care is an important part of my work. It includes checking the mother's health, the growth and position of the child, and its heartbeat. I carry out the care in your home.

I am also happy to carry out the check-ups alternately with your gynecologist.

The health insurance company covers 7 pregnancy check-ups.

Birth preparation


In a small, personal setting, you and your husband can prepare individually for the birth.

The intensive course lasts about 2 to 3 hours and could include the following topics:

 

Pregnancy: current complaints and changes

Preparations during pregnancy for birth and the period afterward

 

Dam preparation

 

Information about the birth

 

Dealing with labor pains/pain therapy, alternative options

 

Opportunities for partner support during childbirth

 

Postpartum/Breastfeeding

 

 

The costs are a flat rate of 300.- CHF per couple, the health insurance company pays a flat rate and a one-off fee of 150.- CHF from the basic insurance.

As a midwife with obstetric acupuncture training, I offer you this proven, non-medicinal therapy to relieve various pregnancy complaints and to prepare for birth.

 

Possible applications;

Nausea and vomiting

Sleep problems

Edema

Breech position of the child

Premature labor

for induction of labor in case of transfer

 

Acupuncture to prepare for birth can be started from the 37th week of pregnancy. This has been proven to shorten the opening phase of labor.

 

The sessions last between 45 and 60 minutes and cost 80 CHF.

These are not covered by health insurance.

Postpartum

An exciting and intense time awaits you with your newborn. I would be happy to support you as a midwife.

 

The mother’s care includes:

Nutrition of the child

Breast care

Birth debriefing

Control of perineal injuries or cesarean section scars

Review of the regression processes

 

The care of the child includes:

Baby care

Weight assessment

Navel care

 

The health insurance company will cover 10 postpartum visits by a midwife up to day 56. If you are giving birth for the first time, have twins or have had a Caesarean section, you are entitled to 16 visits.

Breastfeeding advice

The health insurance company covers three breastfeeding consultations after birth.

During these visits, individual topics can be discussed, such as:

 

Measures in case of milk congestion

Too little or too much milk

Chest discomfort

Breastfeeding and returning to work

Weaning

Pumping out

Carrying advice

Would you like to know which carrier is suitable for you and your child?

What types of wraps and carriers are available?

Would you like to learn how to use it correctly?

Then I can help you with the search and handling. First, some models will be shown and tested with the doll, then we will practice using them with your child.

We also discuss the most important points when wearing it.

A babywearing consultation takes 1.5-2 hours.

Costs 65.- CHF/hour.

Taping

During pregnancy, the female body performs wonders. Some react with discomfort. Muscles, ligaments and nerves make themselves felt. Taping helps in a targeted way, relieves pressure and provides support.

During pregnancy:

Baby massage

Babies need a lot of affection and touch. Baby massage is a wonderful way to focus on your bonding and communication.

You will learn relaxation exercises, massage to relieve flatulence as well as your child's nonverbal communication.

You and your baby are the focus. Everything is possible, nothing is necessary. It all depends on your baby's needs. Whether it's his need to sleep or his need to breastfeed/feed.

4x 60 min, including high-quality oil and course materials, 180 CHF

Max. 5 babies with their parent

Ideal start between 6 and 16 weeks after birth

Suitable for children between 6 weeks and 5 months
